Community Class with Giwayen Mata
Our program partner, Giwayen Mata, offers community classes in West African Dance twice a month at Moving in the Spirit!
Set to live percussion of the djembe drum orchestra and tailored for beginning and intermediate dancers, this multi-generational class teaches fundamentals of dances from the Baga, Bambara, Malinke, and Susu people of Greater Senegambia.
We’re proud to partner with this Atlanta cultural icon! Register for class!

Movement Conditioning & Sculpt
Elevate your strength, flexibility, and body awareness in our six-week Movement Conditioning & Sculpt class! This dynamic session blends the mindful flow of yoga, the core-strengthening benefits of Pilates, and the artistry of dance technique.
Designed for movers of all ages, this class will help you build a strong, sculpted body while enhancing balance, coordination, and grace.

PLAY: Dancing the Seven Senses
Experience the vibrant world of PLAY: Dancing the Seven Senses, a dynamic dance performance by talented young artists ages 5 to 18.
Through movement, curiosity, and imagination, these dancers bring the seven senses to life—sight, sound, touch, taste, smell, balance, and body awareness—in a joyful exploration of how we connect with the world around us.
Save the date, and join us at the Rialto Center for the Arts for the premiere of this evening-length work.

Summer Dance Camp
At Moving in the Spirit’s Summer Dance Camp, boys and girls ages 7-13 build confidence, community, and creativity while studying various styles of dance
Dancers will also explore the elements of dance-building, collaborating with teaching artists and peers to create their own unique choreography.
Engaging workshops on health and wellness, life and leadership skills, and literacy complete the camp experience.
