Open Enrollment: Men in Motion
The Men in Motion company helps boys ages 10-13 develop confidence and leadership skills through dance and movement.
Activities are specially crafted to engage the unique energies and interests of young men.
Men in Motion students take classes in hip hop and fusion styles, create choreography with their peers, and participate in performances.
Classes for the winter/spring semester begin Monday, January 6th. Sliding scale tuition is available. Learn more!

Community Class with Giwayen Mata
Our program partner, Giwayen Mata, offers community classes in West African Dance twice a month at Moving in the Spirit!
Set to live percussion of the djembe drum orchestra and tailored for beginning and intermediate dancers, this multi-generational class teaches fundamentals of dances from the Baga, Bambara, Malinke, and Susu people of Greater Senegambia.
We’re proud to partner with this Atlanta cultural icon! Register for class!

Moving in the Spirit Holiday Store
All year long, young people at Moving in the Spirit earn “points” every class for meeting their dance and leadership commitments .
At the Holiday Store, they use those points to purchase holiday gifts for themselves and their loved ones, reinforcing their sense of hard work, compassion, and giving.
You can bring this magical day to life by volunteering (set up the store, wrap gifts, and help young dancers shop!) or donating items. Get Involved!
January 3 & 4, 2025
EMBODY Winter Artist Intensive
Step into a world of movement, artistry, and growth with EMBODY, an annual movement-based performance arts intensive hosted by Moving in the Spirit.
This two-day program for dancers ages 10-18 is designed to inspire creativity, develop technical skills, and foster the personal growth of young artists.
Participants will gain specialized training in dynamic movement styles while also exploring essential aspects of the performing arts industry.

Open House: Technical Theater Production
Are you a teen interested in a production career in the arts, entertainment, or live events?
Moving in the Spirit’s technical training program offers the hands-on experience you need to start building a future in the industry.

Community Dance Fitness Series
Shake off the post-holiday slump with Moving in the Spirit’s six-week dance fitness series!
This fun, feel-good series is designed to build motivation, inspiration, and a healthy body and mind.
Expect upbeat workouts with an emphasis on strength-building, flexibility, endurance, and positivity.
Each class is open to movers of all ages, from children to seniors, and families often take classes together. Registration opens January 1, 2025.
