Moving in the Spirit Hosts Virtue Dance Academy

Moving in the Spirit is hosting Virtue Dance Academy as they tour from Nassau, Bahamas to Atlanta, Georgia.
Touring to Atlanta from their native Nassau, Bahamas, Virtue Dance Academy trains children and youth through its ballet curriculum and multi-technique styles.
As part of their US tour, they’ll present an original dance production and cultural dance workshop, all free to the Atlanta community!
All events are hosted at Moving in the Spirit and presented by Virtue Dance Academy in partnership with Whole Heart Productions.
While events are free, pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
Saturday, June 29 at 2 PM
Cross Before Crown is a dance performance that delves into the modern “royalty” of self-promotion and viral mania, contrasting it with the path of pursuing a crown of real worth.
Cultural Dance Workshop
Sunday, June 30 at 1 PM – 3 PM
Virtue Dance will be teach Bahamian ethnic dance as part of the workshop, while Atlanta-based Djoli Kelen will teach traditional West African dance with live music.
