Spread Joy This Season: Impact Over 200 Children & Teens at Holiday Store 2023

Moving in the Spirit’s beloved annual event, the Holiday Store, will take place this year on Saturday, December 9, 2023.

Each year, volunteers and donors transform our studios into a winter wonderland, The Holiday Store, to celebrate our students and their many accomplishments.

The Holiday Store acknowledges the intentional, focused efforts of our students in their weekly classes.

Young people at Moving in the Spirit earn “points” every class for meeting their dance and leadership commitments — i.e., being on time for class, dressing in their uniform, and staying focused, to name a few.

At the Holiday Store, they use those points to purchase gifts for their families and friends, reinforcing their sense of hard work, compassion, and giving.

This festive and meaningful event is stocked with donated items and brought to life by the generosity of our community. To get involved with the Holiday Store, you can: sign up to volunteer, donate new or new/never used items, or make a monetary gift to support the store.

The Holiday Store provides numerous heartwarming opportunities for volunteers to participate and interact with our dancers.

We need volunteers on Friday, December 8th – Saturday, December 9th to help children as personal shoppers; wrap gifts; serve as “cashiers”; and help set up and clean up the store.

Volunteer Sign-Up Instructions:

To view volunteer shifts, visit our sign-up page. Morning and afternoon options are available!

Note: Individuals who volunteer on Saturday, Dec. 9, when children will be present at the store, are required to complete a background check. During the process, you will have the option to contribute to the cost of your background check.
