Moving in the Spirit is hosting a six-week dance fitness series for movers of all ages.

Post-holiday slump got you down?

Raise your spirits – and your heart rate — in this fun, feel-good series that empowers students from the inside out.

Each week, rotating guest instructors will guide you through upbeat, high-intensity workouts designed to build strength, motivation, and inspiration.

This series is open to children, teens, adults, and dance fitness lovers of all ages.

Get ready to laugh, sweat, and feel like your best self!

Tuesdays from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM at Moving in the Spirit

January 17 & 24: Reb3l Groove® with Allison Hare

Reb3l Groove® fuses hard-hitting choreography with HIIT mechanics and powerful music, resulting in a high-intensity, bootcamp-style dance fitness format. You will leave feeling inspired, motivated, strong, and empowered.

January 31 & February 7: ASA! with Kalah B

ASA! is an international African dance fitness program that combines low-impact workouts with high-intensity evolution. This engaging form fuses modern club movements with cultural African energy, delivering an upbeat, life-changing, total body endurance experience!

February 14: Capoeira Fitness with Pendu Malik

Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that developed as a way to liberate Africans who were stolen during the Atlantic Slave trade and taken to Brazil. It fuses West African and indigenous movements of Brazil with acrobatics, dance, music and singing to form an art form that is complex and beautiful. In Capoeira Fitness, basic elements from the capoeira style will be taken and fused with calisthenics, fitness moves and basic dance moves. Open to all ages and levels!

February 21: ASA! with Kalah B

ASA! is an international African dance fitness program that combines low-impact workouts with high-intensity evolution. This engaging form fuses modern club movements with cultural African energy, delivering an upbeat, life-changing, total body endurance experience!

 

Class Rates

Individual Class Rates:

  • Adults (ages 18+): $20/class
  • Children & Seniors: $15/class
  • Moving in the Spirit students, families, & alumni: $15

Class Pass* (six classes per pass):

  • General Public: $90 ($15 per class)
  • Moving in the Spirit students, families, & alumni: $75 ($12.50 per class)

* Students who purchase a Class Pass will receive their pass when they arrive for their first class. Passes will be stamped each subsequent class upon arrival. Moving in the Spirit cannot refund unused classes.
