Fueled by her passion and desire to see people and the planet thrive, Selena has dedicated
over 15 years of her professional career to the nonprofit sector. Her work in grantmaking,
development and organizational leadership has helped propel mission driven organizations,
large and small, during times of transition, uncertainty and rapid change. Two highlights of her
career include launching a crowdfunding website that generated over $2M for Atlanta arts
organizations and contributing to the successful completion of a capital campaign that raised
$36M for statewide conservation efforts across Georgia.
Selena is thrilled to join the Moving in the Spirit team as Senior Director of Advancement. In this
capacity, she will partner with the Board and Executive Director to champion the organization’s
public and private fundraising efforts.
Selena holds a B.A. in political science from Spelman College, an M.S. in public policy
from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA with concentrations in marketing and
strategy from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. In her spare time, Selena enjoys
an active vinyasa flow yoga practice.
