Join Moving in the Spirit for our free community Open House on Saturday, August 29th!
Whether you're exploring dance for the first time or returning for another exciting year, Open House is the perfect way to kick off the season!
Meet our faculty, tour our studios, and participate in sample dance classes designed to help your child experience the joy of movement firsthand.
Returning students can reconnect with friends, meet their new teachers, and get excited for the year ahead. New families are encouraged to bring their questions and discover what makes Moving in the Spirit such a special community.

The first 100 children to arrive will receive free goodie bags with special giveaways.
Moving in the Spirit’s Open House is a free community event.

10 AM: Doors open
10:10 AM: Studio Tour
10:30 AM - 11 AM: Sample classes for ages 3-18
11:10 AM: Studio Tour
11:30 AM - 11:45 AM: Teaching Artist Meet & Greet
11:45 AM: Studio Tour
12 PM - 12:30 PM: Sample dance classes for ages 3-18
1 PM: Open House ends
Parking:
Getting to Moving in the Spirit:
Moving in the Spirit is located at 1458 La France St NE, Atlanta, GA 30307, with street parking in the neighborhood around our facility. Please do not block any streets or driveways when parking.
We are easily accessible by train — right next to MARTA’s Edgewood/Candler Park station — and we strongly encourage the use of public transportation or ridesharing services.
There is also abundant free parking in the MARTA parking deck behind Moving in the Spirit. To enter, use the deck entrance on Mayson Avenue. After you park, you can walk to Moving in the Spirit from the exit on Level 1.
Additional free parking is available on the DeKalb Avenue side of the Edgewood/Candler Park MARTA station at 1475 DeKalb Ave, NE Atlanta, GA 30307. Simply park in the lot, ascend the stairs, and cross the pedestrian bridge over DeKalb Avenue to arrive at Moving in the Spirit.
