Journey on the A Train: a human canvas is a new dance performance being developed over the next two years by Moving in the Spirit students in collaboration with their teaching artists.
The performance, inspired by visual art and poetry from the book “Harlem” by Walter Dean Myers and Christian Myers, explores resilience, connection, and the triumph of the human spirit.
We’ll be livestreaming the first phase of the work’s development at 7 PM on May 10-12, 2022. Each evening features different sections of the works in progress, offering a sneak peek of the artistic process and inspiration from our young people.
