Shake off the post-holiday slump with Moving in the Spirit’s six-week dance fitness series!

Feeling a bit low after seasonal festivities? Get moving in this fun, feel-good series designed to build motivation, inspiration, and a healthy body and mind.

More than exercise, Dance Fitness is an invitation to connect, have fun, and feel like your best self.

Expect upbeat workouts with an emphasis on strength-building, flexibility, endurance, and positivity.

Each class is open to movers of all ages, from children to seniors, and families often take classes together. Our knowledgeable instructors seamlessly adapt our workouts for all ages and fitness levels, making Dance Fitness a celebration of healthy bodies at every age and stage.

Tuesdays from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM at Moving in the Spirit

January 16: Canceled due to inclement weather. Rescheduled for Tuesday, February 27th.

January 23: Yoga with a Twist with Haylee Warner

In this class, we will flow through various postures to stretch and strengthen our physical bodies and center our minds and spirits with mindful attention. You can also expect a little “dance break” to find your own groove and optional partnering to connect with classmates. Come with an open mind, ready to experience the joy of moving with new friends! This class is for all ages and all abilities.

January 30 & February 6: Zumba with Marquetta Dupree

Zumba Fitness has taken the world by storm! This format offers many dance styles, often based in Latin rhythms, with fun, easy-to-follow movements. Marquetta offers a high-energy, diverse range of music and movements designed to make participants forget they are even working out!

February 13 & 20: Pilates Mat with Meaghan Novoa

This inclusive Pilates Mat class is accessible for all bodies and focuses on spinal mobility, core control, and overall good body mechanics. With a combination of movements that stretch and strengthen the shoulder girdle, hips, and back, this class aims to have you leave feeling ready to take on the rest of your day with ease!

Class Rates

Individual Class Rates:

  • Adults (ages 18+): $20/class
  • Children & Seniors: $15/class
  • Moving in the Spirit students, families, & alumni: $15

Class Pass* (six classes per pass):

  • General Public: $90 ($15 per class)
  • Moving in the Spirit students, families, & alumni: $75 ($12.50 per class)

* Students who purchase a Class Pass will receive their pass when they arrive for their first class. Passes will be stamped each subsequent class upon arrival. Moving in the Spirit cannot refund unused classes.
