Areas to Help

• Administrative - mailing out receipts, helping with grants, making copies, answering the telephone, contacting volunteers, faxing documents, organizing offices, assisting with the strategic plan
• Fundraising - being a spokesperson for Moving in the Spirit in your community, making contacts with potential individual, corporate, or foundation donors, organizing fundraising events and assisting with the strategic plan
• Media/Public Relations - writing press releases, developing/modifying a media calendar, making contacts with the media for more exposure on television and radio as well as other media, coordinating interviews with media and assisting with the strategic plan
• Marketing - developing/modifying marketing plan, exploring ways to reach potential audience members, working towards making Moving in the Spirit better known locally, nationally, and internationally
• Dance - assisting teacher with class and/or substituting
• Implementing Strategic Plan - helping out the Board and Faculty of Moving in the Spirit with implementation of the strategic plan
• Cleaning - helping keep our community space clean and safe for classes and performances; assisting with organizing the costume closet, control booth, and dressing room
• Gardening - assisting Susan Keller (Performance Company member) and others with the continued beautification of the area surrounding the Beam
• Performances - handing out programs, helping backstage, assisting with seating, setting up chairs, helping with concessions
• Tour Planning - helping the Apprentice Corporation with coordinating their summer tour, making calls to prospective tour hosts, corporations for sponsorship or individuals who would like to help out as well
• Transportation - providing a ride to and/or from classes for students
